Chris Byers spent 14 years as CEO at Formstack. I've known him as a friend, a client, a sounding board, a church planter/missionary, and someone on a living adventure with his wife.
Chris recently stepped away from his role at Formstack, and is now finding his way to what's next. For many people, it's a challenge to hear the story of someone who's experienced a successful exit and have much compassion or understanding about what follows the exit. It's disorienting to name a new challenge, and it's also disorienting to discover in real ways what we've always known from our faith – our value is baked into who we are, and eventually we show up best when we show up as just ourselves without any need to curate our identities or be received as something other than that. Chris has known power and has proven his faith and his abilities over years ... but what I love about this conversation is he's stepping into something even greater.
